Rising damp in buildings results from the continuous absorption of water from the ground, which naturally migrates through walls and floors in contact with the soil. This phenomenon occurs throughout the year, primarily affecting exterior walls, ground-floor partitions, and floors. The main factors influencing the evaporation of rising water are temperature and the humidity level of the surrounding air.

Rising damp is visible in buildings as dark stains, efflorescence (salt deposits), blisters, and detachment of coatings. In some cases, it can reach a considerable height, up to 5 meters, and often appears as a wavy line along the walls, indicating its presence throughout the full thickness of the structure.

Another important aspect is the influence of natural electromagnetic fields. In certain areas, known as “electromagnetic stimulation zones,” the strength of these fields can intensify capillary rise, facilitating water movement through the pores of construction materials.
