At Africa Park Land, waterproofing meets the project's demands

As part of the ambitious Africa Park Land project, a new leisure and nature-oriented destination in Almodôvar, a high-performance waterproofing solution was implemented over an area of approximately 750 m², ensuring protection, durability, and reliability for the project's infrastructure.

To ensure effective waterproofing capable of meeting the construction requirements, the following technical system was applied:

• Primer 0230: Surface preparation primer that promotes excellent adhesion between the substrate and the waterproofing system.
• Starflex Ultra Grey: Polyurea-based waterproofing membrane with high elasticity and resistance, designed to provide long-lasting protection against water infiltration.
• Nacimanta Startex NW: Reinforcement geotextile incorporated into the system, increasing mechanical strength and contributing to greater waterproofing stability.

In this project, no aliphatic protective coating was applied to the waterproofing system, as the final finish consisted of thermal insulation boards, a solution selected by the client to complement the system.

The adopted solution provides effective protection for the structure, ensuring its durability and contributing to the construction quality of a development that promises to become a new benchmark for tourism and leisure in the Lower Alentejo region.
